Hi have just joined the forum, i fish in scotland for trout salmon and pike, from what i can see about Scandinavian trollers you are way ahead of the trollers in the UK, you seem to be nearly as good as the Americans ;) ;) .

Hi, welcome and thanks James!

Well at least we are close to being as "shopping freaks" as the Americans lol.
Could you provide us with a link to a local trolling club or a UK trolling forum?
It would be interesting to see if you have the same techniques, are using the same gear and fish the same species as we do.

Whats you favorite place when trolling for salmon? In the sea or in the lakes?

Most of the Trolling is done for Trout or Pike i would say that the Salmon fishing in scotland is very poor when compared to Scandinavian countries or the Great Lakes plus the fact that we have the crazy law that says you cannot fish for Salmon on a Sunday :cry: :cry: so on my home Lake Loch Lomond it means i cannot troll it on a sunday which drives me mad :evil: :evil: .

Yes it was and he was playing some Pink Floyd on the boat when it was hooked, obviously a fish that has great taste;);)
