3 of us went walleye fishing Wednesday night on a local tributary to Lake Michigan. It was 38f with some rain mixed in. This was the leading edge of a cold front coming in. We fished from 6pm till 3am. We ended up with 13 walleye and missed at least 12 more. We trolled slow(1.4-1.7mph on gps) with an electric trolling motor, using #14 Rapala Husky jerk baits. Each of us had 1 rod in hand. We would pump the rod foreward, and move the rod back slowly(keeping the line tight) with the speed of the boat. Our reels are spooled with #14lb Berkley fireline. This combination gets our baits down around 9'. We worked sharp drop offs on large flats and kept the boat in 12-14' of water.
This is me with the first fish on the night. It tipped the scales at 6 1/2 lbs.

This report did not get posted on my website. This would draw too much attention to the lake and would ruin the fishing.
